3. Receive data from the S4 Monitor
The WaterRowers S2 and S3 Monitor is NOT compatible.
Now you must make sure you have connected your WaterRower correctly with your PC or Laptop.
Info: Since serialnumber 52045 the performance monitor has a mini-USB connector socket on the back (left picture below), previous monitors have the original mini-DIN (6 pin) connector socket (right picture below).
- If you have a mini-USB connector socket on the back.
The usb connection cable has a USB Series "A" plug for connecting the S4 Monitor with your PC.
- If you have a mini-DIN connector socket on the back.
The serial pc connection cable has a serial port for connecting the S4 Monitor with your PC.
If you don't have a serial port at your computer anymore, you need a "USB to RS 232 serial Adapter".
This adapter can be purchased at any local electronics dealer or directly at WaterRower US.
(Unfortunately we have experienced that not every on the market available adapter works properly.)
When using
WaterRowers USB-Adaptor or the
mini-USB cable you may need to download and install a driver according to your operating system.
An install-instruction
is available here.
- Create a LocalRace and press "Launch".
- Now you will be transferred to the starting window of We-Row to enter your username and your password.

(We suggest your PC to allow saving your password, in order for you to start without entering your data each time)
- After you have successfully loged in select SETTINGS from the mainmenu.

- Make sure that you have select the right Com-Port on your PC and test the connection by turn on the monitor and row a few strokes.

- Once the test is successful, click on SAVE. You're now ready for your LocalRace.
